LIST EXPLAINED BELOW:
Hey all, Blue back again. Possibly a rather unorthodox list, but I wanted to upload my OPINIONS on this band’s best hits. Always remember that this list is just my opinion. But I’m right.
–:::LISTINGS:::–
10. This song never gets talked about and I dislike how true this is. The opening is incredibly beautiful, and Broden’s soft lyrics towards the beginning are unexpected and uncommon but give something powerful to the song. As it increases in power, it really delivers in giving a very Sabaton feeling song and giving the listener a very moving message at the same time. One of the band’s better not-so-well-known songs.
9. This may surprise many, but I truly feel that while it is truly a powerful anthem of the band, it is slightly overrated… that isn’t to say it doesn’t kick ass in every sense. If there was ever a cause to headbang, it’s this song; fast paced throughout and hitting the listener heavily, I don’t believe this song should ever go without mention. I just feel there are better.
8. A song with a title I was initially baffled by, this was a song that did the rare deed of snagging me on the first playthrough. Opening fast and delivering a very uplifting tune, this song is certainly a favorite from their latest album. There is little else that needs to be said, just a very upbeat tune that leaves a smile on my face every time.
7. Don’t be fooled by the near minute of opening soft low strings and sounds of the Wolfpack; this song delivers in a very unique way. The chorus sounds amazing and the solo is particularly well written in and is immediately followed by some epic lyrical history just before the final chorus. Definitely my favorite from their 2005 album.
6. I will be the first to say that Heroes is probably the most consistently solid album even if not my favorite. This song encompasses that solidity the best; fast paced lyrics, an awesome opening riff, and an incredible story told within, this song grips excellently and holds the spot as my favorite from Heroes.
5. Another choice that will probably surprise a fair few, this only sang in Swedish song is one of Sabaton’s best. Something about the lyrical delivery and the slow, depressed yet lightly energized anthem of a chorus create a tune that I can listen to again and again all while filling me with a strong desire to learn Swedish.
4. Here comes a speeding heavy hitter that everyone loves and I am no exception. This song has everything a tense opening in that 20 second beginning, a smashing instrumental start, and great lyrics throughout. This song achieves what I think Ghost Division came very close to doing; that is a fast, heavy song that can truly get the adrenaline going while showing a fair level of restraint while doing it. Truly a great way to open their best album.
3. This is a song that I never really remember how good it is until I’m listening to it and I realize how freaking good it is. The initial lull at the beginning before the opening drums I think create a dull feel that really is expertly placed. The song very quickly comes into its own delivering powerful historical lyrics and slow, yet dominant instrumentals. Simply a tune that will have you wanting to march to battle.
2. Possibly the pick for which I will receive the most criticism, this is my favorite from Carolus Rex and unfortunately it is very difficult to explain why. Perhaps its the fast opening, or the buildup verses, and then the truly addicting chorus for which I can never get enough of, but this is a song I feel doesn’t get enough credit. Hammer me if you will, but this song will never get old and I truly hope I am not alone in this outlook.
1. Possibly surprising but possibly not, this final entry is a tune unlike any other. So strong, so unique, and so powerful, this is one of my favorite songs of all time, let alone just from this band. It delivers an incredible message while existing as what I feel is the band’s crowning achievement. One cannot hear the first minute of the song without feeling pumped; simply put, a masterpiece of the finest sort.
I own NOTHING, but I would highly recommend this band to any with a taste before the best kind of power metal, historical lyrics, or just for something new and epic.

my 1st song was "Price of a Mile". I listened to it in 2012 while reading lurkmore article about WW1. I didn't realize that a power metal song can be as touchy as SW or LotR osts, so I listened that song again… and again…. and again.
my 2nd song was Carolus Rex, then Lifetime of War, then Panzerkampf and etc.
I am not surprised that the band was accused of racism and/or other bullshit, since they are making counter pop-cultural content, which focused on war, power, heroism, dignity, pathos and death.
In the world of Twilight and Divergent, Sabaton is like a WH40k that was sublimating into one amry, which is ready to strike on that world.
Back to top 10 (I do not favor any of them above the other)
1 Price of a mile
2 Carolus Rex
3 Lifetime of War
4 Panzerkampf (I am russian, I cannot resist)
5 Rise of Evil
6 Wolfpack + Ghost Division (germans were always superb)
7 Final Solution
8 Lost Battalion + To Hell and Back
9 Aces in Exile (the influence of Iron Maiden I guess)
10 and obviously Winged Hussars (because I am slav, I love history and hate Kebab)
I'm guessing most people made their lists before the last stand because, where is shiroyama and the last stand
