LONG LEGS was the title track of the second EP building to the electro swing pioneers ‘BEST OF’ compilation at the end of 2018. Featuring brand new material (both electro swing and more vintage influenced styles) LONG LEGS is the neo noir standard bearer for another collection of 4 expertly crafted songs inspired, as before, by the sounds of vintage jazz, swing, funk and soul but given a contemporary spin by subject matter and production. LONG LEGS again boasts the vocals and lyrics of long time collaborator, Danish jazz singer Karina Kappel and comes complete with this film noir video shot on location in a Brighton hotel. The other tracks feature classic vintage samples from the 30s, 40s and 50s and performances including The Boswell Sisters on LET YOURSELF GO.

About the ARTIST:
SWING REPUBLIC was born as the side project of a platinum selling Danish songwriter and producer, Per Ebdrup. In love with the sound of swing, Per remixed old and obscure vintage gems in his spare time off as composer to hire. These tracks would eventually be brought together in ELECTRO SWING REPUBLIC (2011) that was one of the first complete electro swing albums ever released. The second album MIDNIGHT CALLING (2013) saw the introduction of jazz vocalist Karina Kappel and featured the massively popular CRAZY IN LOVE version that has notched up well over 4 million plays on Spotify alone and even higher numbers on YouTube.
Their third album MO’ ELECTRO SWING REPUBLIC (2015) combined the sounds and style of both their first 2 releases mixing original songwriting with a more remix based approach to vintage covers.

Okay, I found this via Spotify (I have an electro swing playlist and I like searching for bands and songs), this had caught my attention and after listening so much many times I search for the video and I didn't expect this, it's cool! How bad they didn't kiss :'(

CANT STOP LISTENING TO THIS SONG!! The video reminds me a lot of the old musical City of Angels, which also revolves around a noir writer and the character he wrote, as two intertwining stories. Even the use of color schemes is similar (real world=chromatic, noir fiction world= monochrome). Did you guys perhaps take inspiration? ;D
