  • I've noticed this with club players…some of them seem to only stay focused on the ball and don't even notice the opponent. These players never anticipate the direction, depth or spin on the ball and only "react" to the ball, usually only when the ball has already crossed the net do they start reacting or moving.
    Some of them have been playing tennis for 20 or 30 years…😑

  • Well these are some important signals however if someone hits a topspin lob these signals don't really apply. I would say for me the best sign that I'm getting lobed is the effort my opponent puts on the shot. Lobs require feel so when someone hits a lob they usually move a little slower so that they have better control and feel to execute the shot
